National Organization Of STEM And Literacy Educators

Helping schools and communities to close the opportunity/achievement gap with free and low-cost strategies for helping ALL children gain the foundational skills necessary for life and career success in the 21st century.

Why STEM And Literacy Skills Are Critical

The largest technology corporations have been asking us for help. They cannot find enough skilled STEM workers in the United States. They claim our schools are not doing enough to give students the necessary STEM skills. So the jobs for many STEM projects must now be outsourced to other nations, and the US now must bring in approximately half a million foreign STEM workers because many schools in the United States are simply not preparing students for 21st century careers.

We analyzed the STEM crisis to determine the root causes. An important factor was student reading levels. We found that most students can easily understand science and math concepts, but they are failing these subjects because they lack the literacy skills necessary to read, comprehend, and utilize the STEM information provided in their textbooks and online learning materials. We also fully analyzed the critical skills needed for every STEM career in the United States. We found that science and math skills were critical for success, but reading levels and the ability to stay updated on rapidly changing STEM knowledge was even more critical for a successful STEM career.

Our Services

Our highly-successful STEM/ Literacy strategies focus on building strong reading, math, and science skills. We also make teachers/paraprofessionals jobs easier by creating programs that are easy to implement so students can have fun and participate with minimal teacher effort.

Fun, Free, And Easy Programs

Many under-served schools lack the funding necessary to purchase highly-effective STEM/Literacy programs. We have many generous grant funders that help us provide these programs for free or very low-cost to qualified schools, communities, and educational organizations.

We also make learning fun. In another easy and very fun program, 3rd grade students that were struggling to learn fractions quickly mastered the concepts after we created a “Delicious Math Program”. Children loved cutting fruits into halves, quarters, and eighths to quickly understand the concepts. Afterward, they loved eating their “Delicious Math Program”. All of that free food and highly-qualified volunteers came from our generous grant supporters and corporate/community volunteers.

Educational Research Studies

We have highly-skilled data scientists that manage educational research studies that meet and exceed the United States Department Of Education’s What Works Clearinghouse standards. We work to understand the root causes of educational issues and help to create highly effective solutions.

For example, one of our FREE super easy and simple reading programs resulted in reading gains that were 3x higher than what the US Dept Ed requires for significant gains above the control group.

We utilize Gold Standard research techniques, such as RCT, but we also understand the unique challenges for schools and have successfully implemented strategies required by federal and state education funding that comply with academic intervention guidelines.

Family Literacy, Extended Learning, And Community Programs

Many people expect schools to solve every academic issue, social problem, and provide all important life skills for our children. The reality is “That’s Impossible”!!! Here are the facts. When adding weekends, holidays, summer breaks, etc., children spend very little time at school. From birth to age 18, students spend 87% of their waking hours at home or in the community.

Most schools get federal and state funds [especially Title III funding] requiring schools to provide family engagement programs that encourage out-of-school hours learning. Most schools are struggling to meet their federal and state requirements.

Our family engagement programs are fun and easy. We have children that are reading books at-home, rather than playing video games, watching TV, or spending hours on social media. Their reading scores are up and their principals/teachers/parents are very happy.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help every child have a bright future by gaining the foundational academic skills necessary to achieve their dreams and have a successful career and happy life. We also strive to close the achievement/opportunity gap to allow more under-represented groups, including girls and BIPOC [Black, Indigenous, and People Of Color] access to high-paying 21st century careers, such as STEM. We create fun, easy, free or low-cost programs that make teachers/principals/parents lives easier.
